Welcome to my site! My name is Katherine O’Rourke.

I am a creative graduate of Goldsmiths University of London.

I created this blog as an 18 year old starting a degree, but also as part of the Journalism module I was taking . Studying at Goldsmiths we were able to be vocal in what we believed in & to stand up for what we thought was right. It is a place where you are encouraged to take your passions and put them out into the world.

Over those three years spent at Goldsmiths I learnt some tough and irreplaceable lessons. During my last year at University I decided to turn this into a personal blog, where I shared some of the work I have created. This includes photographs I have taken, along with old features and new articles I will be writing. Which has now become my lovely website Kath Writes!

My posts range from music, self discovery, art reviews to issues that are more personal to me, and I feel passionately to write about. Writing has been an escape for me, and at times I’m so grateful I had this blog. When it comes to writing you start with nothing and learn as you go on. I have realised that life is exactly the same, you grow and despite it all you carry on.
